Description of Bar Monger position:
We are searching for people who have at least 2 years of experience in the food, cheese, wine, or beer industry
If you are the kind of person who is detail-oriented, responsible and accountable, has a great personality, and can work in a fast-paced environment, this may be a legen-dairy opportunity for you!
Our "Bar Mongers" are team members who work both as cheese mongers (one who cuts and sells cheese), as servers, and as bartenders (wine and beer)
Bar Mongers both work behind the bar and serve tables
Restaurant serving experience is a MUST
Must be 21 years or older and have a current Serve Safe Food Handler Certificate
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Description of position of Cook:
The Rind Cooks are professional cooks who execute an exceptional culinary menu that focuses on artisan and farmstead cheeses
Foods are comfort oriented with a foodie twist that create a consistent, gourmet experience for all guests
Foods will feature seasonal ingredients sourced from local markets and vendors while acquiring as much sustainably farmed produce and products and humanely raised meats as possible

Equipment used: panini press, convection oven, induction burners

Challenges: minimal space, need to plan ahead with cooking to plating

Duties include but are not limited to:
Duties include prep, cooking, and cleaning
Executing a menu that is seasonal and fresh with original concepts that revolve around artisan and farmstead cheese
Consistency, timeliness, and originality are key

Cooks shall also maintain the management of the kitchen inventory as needed with approval of The Rind owner/management
Kitchen cleanliness will be maintained by all working in the kitchen, along with all dish washing duties, while adhering to all Health Department codes

Requirements:
Preferred at least 2 yrs experience in a high-volume, upscale-casual dining restaurant environment
Culinary degree or certificate preferred or can be substituted with 3 years culinary experience
Strong leadership skills are a must
Must provide a copy of valid ServeSafe certificate
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
For both positions:
Ability to communicate with both FOB and BOH in an efficient manner & also has problem solving skills
Must have a professional positive attitude and be able to take direction from Management and staff
Must have good knife skills and the ability to work efficiently
Must be able to multi-task
Must speak English well enough to get the job accomplished with the team

Rate of Pay: Bar Mongers $10.50/hr plus tips
Rate of Pay: Cook Ranges $12/hr-DOE
