We are currently looking for people to participate in PTSD research
People who have experienced a traumatic event in the past and are currently experiencing symptoms related to PTSD may qualify
Your participation in this study would involve an online survey, an in-person assessment with clinicians, brain scans (fMRI), and brain stimulations (TMS)
The study appointments may take place at either the Stanford University Medical Center or the Palo Alto VA, and the study compensates up to $535 for participation.
We are looking for both civilians (general public) and active duty military personnel or veterans, male or female
You do not need to already have a PTSD diagnosis to participate

You may qualify if:
- - You have ever experienced, witnessed, or dealt with a traumatic event.
- - During the past month, you have re-experienced the traumatic event in a distressing or disturbing way, such as dreams, intense recollections, or physical reactions.
- - You think you have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Eligibility requirements:
- - You must be between the ages of 18-60 years old.
- - You must be right-handed.
- - You must have NO current or history of neurological disorders.
- - You must have NO seizure disorder.
Study Procedures include:
- - In-person assessment (~4 hours; $15 compensation per hour)
- - fMRI brain scan (~4 hours; $150 compensation total)
- - fMRI/TMS brain scan (~5.5 hours; $325 compensation total)

Our overarching aim is to understand the neural basis of emotional disorders and their treatment, and to leverage this knowledge to develop novel treatment interventions
